Our Story
Established in 2019, Stilly Woods Inn sits on five peaceful acres of hemlocks, Western red cedars, and bigleaf maples about a half mile from the South Fork of the Stillaguamish River. We steward the land with a light footprint, allowing the surrounding forest to support a thriving ecosystem and wildlife habitat.
Stilly Woods Inn is a place for gathering, learning, and connection. We host culinary events, educational workshops, and offer space and resources for team retreats.
Kim began her career as a photographer and graphic designer before discovering her true calling in the culinary arts. She graduated with top honors from the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in Vancouver BC, and after moving to Seattle, honed her craft in several restaurants before going on to become chef at Macrina Bakery and Cafe and chef / food photographer at Chateau Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. She also holds a WSET wine certification.
For nearly a decade, Kim has volunteered with the Slow Food movement, a nonprofit organization promoting good, clean, and fair food for all. She has served as Executive Director and Board Chair of the Seattle chapter, and currently serves as a Regional Councilor for Slow Food USA. At Stilly Woods, she brings Slow Food’s values of food literacy, biodiversity, and traditional foodways to life through experiences that celebrate seasonal cooking, traditional culinary methods, and thoughtful sourcing.
